how to configure DVR for ddns for remote viewing
ANUPSINGH posted a topic in Installation Help and Accessories
Hi, We dont need a static ip for viewing remotly . You can configure the DVR with DDNS also . The most commonly method is by registering with DYNDNS & hosting the ip . Then in the router do port forward & in the DDNs section of your router at the hostname & your DYNDNS account details thats it. Then on IE type you hostname & you will be able to view your DVR remotly. Another option I came thru was with AVTECH DVR they have their own DNS site. When you click on the DDNS option in AVTECH DVR you will see mac000e****eee9 .ddns.dvrtw.com.tw Just enable DDNs & type the above address in IE & you will be able to see your AVTECH DVR On net without DYNDNS or static IP http://mac000e****eee9.ddns.dvrtw.com.tw/ -
Dear all , Just wanted to tell you all about Port Forwadding for DVR's . Its really very simple first you have to assign a ip to DVR ( 192.168.1.10) & the gateway( 192.168.1.1) in DVR should be same as that in your router of ISP . Login to your Router search for Port forward it maybe in Advance-NAT- Virtual Server . Input the same as anything like CCTV , Select TCP Protocol , Start port & End Port ( Generally 80) & IP as in you rDVR (192.168.1.10). save it , THATS IT the port forward is done. In some DVR's like in case of AVTECH you dont have to do port forward also. Just add the DVR's IP ( 192.168.1.10) in the DMZ section in router & its done. In case of DVR's which dont use 80 as its port we have to do port forward for 2 ports Like in HIkvision DVr the dvr port is 8000 & http port is 80 so we have to do port for both this port differently but with the same ip ( 192.168.1.10) In cpplus the dvr port is 3777 so we have to do port forward for 80 & for 3777 also. Thats all folks " title="Applause" />

Elevator CCTV cabling problem.. Help!
ANUPSINGH replied to missmimi's topic in Installation Help and Accessories
Dear All, I have faced similar problems with elevator cables 1) We used one pair from the transit lift cable which the life guy allowed us to use. but these cables were of very high guage so the picture was distorted . We didnt tried any amplifiers or baluns 2) we have now successfully installed pure copper coaxile cable of guage 23/36 & we have tied this cable with the transit cable of the lift . I have seen this cable work of almost 3 years now for a 27 floor tower in mumbai . Hope this helps anyone -
Hi all , I have 2- 16 channel Avtech DVR - KPD679 with 32 dome cameras. Both the DVR output is connected to a 4 channel switcher & the switcher output is connected to a TV . When a single TV is connected the Videos are perfect but the moment i connect another TV to switcher output both the TV get distorted like picture shaking , linings . I have to connect total 3 TV's . If i connect single TV from any of the 3 TV's they work perfectly this means no cable problem. but not any 2 Tv's work together . I have tried RG6 , 3+1 coaxial , cat5 with baluns . Even i tried a small amplifier ( has external power) which has 1 to 4 splitter & has independent gain control for each output but no result . As far AS I KNOW I WILL NEED another amplifier . Please suggest me & please mention what that particular amplifier is called Thanks ANUP SINGH BOMBAY
