nalexia replied to nalexia's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
Hi I have sent the card back to the supplier but i wondered if the fault was with the graphics card as i managed to get it to run on a AMD 2.4 via chipset motherboard and matrox g400 card. by the way the card did have 8 chips on the board and the connectors for 8 cameras and the system did see 8 channels. cheers -
PCI EXPRESS CARD/DVR PROBLEM????
nalexia posted a topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
HI Has Anyone had any experience with using a graphics card on the PCI express slot as i have been trying to set up my own system using a geforce 7300gs card and it refuses to run my cctv system there is no motion onscreen and the only way to see a picture is to to click on the camera and then all i get is a snapshot i am assuming that it is the graphics cards fault or could it be something else?. i know that the advice is not to purchase a card from ebay but i checked with previous buyers and they were happy with the card (i have provided a link to view the DVR card if it helps. Specification: Motherboard: MSI P965 NEO Chipset: Intel Processor: p4 2.8 Duo (2 x 1.4ghz) Ram: 1gb DDR2 Graphics card: Geforce 7300gs 256MB/DDR2 Dvr Card: 8ch 200/240fps/h.264 http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/8-Channe-240fps-Real-Time-High-Speed-Video-DVR-card-H_W0QQitemZ300064381320QQihZ020QQcategoryZ88756QQcmdZViewItem thanks -
Is there anyone who can supply me with a Gv1240 card for 8 Cameras or would a 16 camera card be a better option as i guess that if i need to expand later it would probably be a smarter move. Am i right in saying that if i only use 8 channels i would be able to record at 30 fps but if i use 9+ cameras then the recording rate would reduce? Cheers
