Hi, I'm putting together a hybrid, pc-based dvr using 5008 card and 4ch IP licenses for Sanyo HD cameras. Install of sw V3.2 went smooth and now configuring the settings, however I wasn't able to find a setting or way to change "4x3" format to fill 19" wide screen monitor with 1440x900 nor the 24" with 1920x1200. Does Nuuo support wide format monitors or hdtv's like Avermedia (yes, they do) for example? Btw, the Sanyo camera's 1920x1080 is the resolution I'd like to use when enable the full screen.

One of ACTi 3401 at my customer's store keeps on going offline (once or twice in 2 month) for some reason. It comes right back when power cycled, though.
-
I think the dvr you got is 4ch only stand alone unit, meaning, buy an another 4ch dvr to add more cameras (upto 4 more cams...) I recommend a PC based dvr with Avermedia NV5000 or similar card from Geovision.

I've been reading the forum and learning a lot from you gurus. I want to say thank you and think it's a good time to introduce myself. I am trying to start up a home based CCTV intergration (design, install, & service) business around metro Detroit. Hello everybody.

Hi, I'm trying to find a quality indoor cam for looking over a cash register (right above -10ft ceiling). I came across this one "SSC-CD45" to be good value = around 200 and with 540tvl resolution. Thanks in advance.

Not neccessary for this application = constant overhead lighting: fluorescent lamps. why pay for something u don't use... I'm looking for a cam that can produce better images with less noises and sharper details. My customer wants to verify cash transactions (changes, etc).

Thanks for your info. Now, how can I get the latest version lenses? and this applies for the Sony cam, not the Panasonic (sorry for confusions), right? or a u talking about their CCD chip that is flaw...?

Mobotix Q24 with images
ilee01 replied to thewireguys's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
It's a nicely packaged camera (weatherproof, built-in two way audio, 3mp)... Made in Germany... I was comparing this with Arecont 3105 while back, customer ended up choosing the 3105. What drove? As someone has mentioned before, the picture was grainey and with less than perfect light situation, it produced more noises. Its 3 mp sharpness seemed more like 2mp or even 1.3mp version of Arecont's. -
6 months with 4 ACTi 1.3 mp cameras (3411) keeps on going strong. cant' beat the price. 5 stars.
-
I have installed few of those (Arecont, ACTi, Mobotix). Ditto, they produce HD quality pics that all my customers wanted but didn't want to pay the price. Only few early adapters... Okaaay, back to reality.

Thanks alpine0000. I enjoyed your post about the 484s domes. I would love to get one of those. But the price you pay for those you could've had a set of decent IP Megapixel cams plus your choice of NVR & licenses. Personally, I would.
-
Agree. But my customer wants to stick w/domes for discrete look. The surroundings would be well-lit with no windows that why I am looking at these cams. Somewhat basic but produce image quality that's close to the panny 485 domes???
-
Also found Panny WV-CF284 for about 230. It has similar spec to the sony. Which one do you recommend?
-
I had a situation like that with an ir dome camera. It happens beause there is space between the face of lens and the dome lens. I manually had to move the lens body so the face of the lens(rubber or plastic ring) butts to the dome lens.

I've called the company (very friendly folks) and they will let you download a fully functional demo (free for 1ch=). -

I like the XB+ as well, actually one of the best I've came across so far...but "single client" over the network (you can use the client within the server pc at the same time) doesn't work for my clients. A deal breaker! -

I like their interface and easy to set-up. The only downfall for me was the playback function. No instant replay.... meaning you have to wait for the program to load the portion of recording. Fo example, 2minute segment takes about 5 minutes to fully download. I'm not talkig about from Internet, within the same pc (Quad cpu). very frustrating. maybe works ok with non-mp ip cameras? -
Hi, I need to hear from any of you who might have a similar configurations as below; Dell Vostro 200 series PC, 2GB ram, Asus 6200LE card, 500Gb HD, NV5000 card & 3 video ext. for the 16 camera system The problem that I get BSOD when I unplug any USB input devices(keyboard, mouse, memory stick), same thing happens when I try to get a snapshot from NV7.3 by clicking the on-screen button. The recording and playback, networking, etc. are working fine. Avermedia thinks dell's oem mobo(Foxconn) might be the cause. Btw, It runs on XP Home edition. Should I replace it with custom made PC using ASUS mobo? Please help. Thanks in advance.
