do these cameras actually give you a picture in color worth recording on a dvr cctv system? i need to know if they are comparable to a ge kalatel covert pir cam, which is 380 lines in color and provides a decent picture to about 6 feet in distance. any imput is appreicated.

this is from front and back of the same counter camera #1 is a pano 484 the other is the ganz from our old friend. i think the pano is better but it is twice the price. and thanks jasper for helping me post these pics.

does anyone make a dc battery to use to power up a cam connected to a portable battery powered dvd player [lcd moniter] when you want to rome around inside a site trying out various camera angles in a clients bussiness? basically you could have both the camera and the screen to see the picture from any place you want without haveing to drag a 12v. power line from a block transformer pluged into an outlet.

i have to say the pano is almost 3-d looking in comparison to the ganz. i have a couple of sites on remote view with the cams used together in multiplexing and as soon as i figure out how to upload them thru wavereader you'll be able to see the difference as they are in the same site.

i have a ge dvrme 600A ct16 that has a habit of rebooting randomly maybe once a day or less. the problem is when it reboots it comes on as a multiplex screen plus your going to miss recording for the time it reboots. Is this something a firmware can fix? the unit is a couple of years old with no warranty as it is a ebay unit. i also have a cbr cdt mux that does not mux in color although it does loop out in color?? any help is much appreicated.

forgive my ignorance and probably spelling but how do you post pictures from the aforementioned system?? can you do it out of wavereader?

ive got a dvrme600A-16ct that once a day or so it will reboot on its own. i wonder if i have the same problem as you?

Has anyone had the pleasure of compareing the picture quality, remote view functionality, ease of operation, and relative storage capicity of each stand alone unit? [Assuming they both have 600 gb drives.] They are very comparable price wise. I than you in advance for any information.

are these covert cams any good ?? i know there not going to look like a pano 484 but will they suck as bad as a pinhole board cam by gvi gv-pcbcp? this is color with a 380 lines but the picture is really bad

how do wireless cameras compare to hardwired cams regarding signal to noise, lines of resultion, picture quality, ect ?

yea, comon isn't a nuvico way down on the ladder of picture quality? and what about the tiger is it really good compared to the ge?

you mean the jpeg2000 is not an improvement? i thought it gave alot more storeage? and lastly how would you compare the cheetah to the ge dvrme-ct?

has anyone had any experiance with clinton dvrs? i know they are a long time midwest manufacturer of other high end equipment like medical moniters, ect. the compression they use has very small sizes like 3kb. i am interested as they are one of the relatively small number of manufacturers that will let you return the dvr if you are not satisfied.

i have hooked up a cbr-16cdt to a kalatel dsr2000e 320gig and it works like a charm giving me almost 30 days for 5 cameras on motion at the highest quality setting. it is almost like a dvrme-16ct except for no live streaming audio. my question is would this mux work the same for a phillips dsr1 [comparable to the one channel kalatel] i do know that the phillips manual says they are compatable but i was hoping someone had done it and could share their results?
