Hello i am newbie on CCTV i hopefully you're can help me. i have problem with my site, 1st thing is ptz camera, when raining time the ptz is working intermittent just pan tilt and zoom only but the video is good. 2nd thing is how to protect equipment from lightning. Caused i have already installed lightning surge for power supply and video to each camera. But my equipment still defected. Anybody can help me?

actually the ptz tested with others DVR. But the ptz still problem. Termination is connected properly i've change RS device to new one. Now i send my DVR & PTZ to supplier for checking. Let say the DVR & PTZ is good? What is your solution dude?

i'm used Voltage Regulator for equipment & linear power supply for ptz. i've also tried to to check the twisted pair cable, the resistance is 15 ohm from control room to camera's location. The ptz working intermitent. we need to power off and going back on. when directly tested the ptz using sort distance cable with 4ohm resistance the ptz is working fine, but more than 4 ohm resistance (over 15ft) the ptz working intermintent. What is problem actually the ptz or twisted pair? What is solution to rectified the problem?

equipment defected on comm port where the ptz control is connected. i have checked the surge. but the surge is not defect

type of camera is sanyo ccd camera and the camera housing is pvc.
