  1. Thanks Sam Yes, I'm coming to the same conclusion and yes, Paul from BBV has been extremely helpful. One of BBV's local distributors is trying to find me a freelance cctv engineer to help with installation and configuration but I haven't yet finalised anything. I live near Chepstow, 26 miles or so from Bristol, so if you know anyone I should talk to for this please let me know. Cheers
  2. If it helps, I think this DC model is the same as the Dennard (Dedicated Micros) Type 2006 or D2006.
  3. Hi. I'm new to the forum and desperate for advice. I have recently bought an unused and boxed (but discontinued) VISTA VPTDC Head. The application is perhaps unusual - I am attaching a video projector (NOT a camera) to the VISTA head to project images on to buildings from a van. I chose the VISTA VPTDC head because i) it would support the projector weight ii) it was good value (discontinued and on eBay) iii) it will run off 24v supply iv) it is a proper outdoor unit. I only need to control the VISTA DC head on top of the vehicle from inside the vehicle. It can be hard wired at 2m max distance, probably less. (I do NOT need to control any lens / iris etc the projector zoom and focus can all be controlled by separate projector remote controller.). I probably just need a mini-keyboard type with joystick (?potentiometer for variable speed?) and a few buttons for preset projector positions. How can I do this cost-effectively? With my very limited knowledge (this is way outside my comfort zone!) I guess there are three options: 1) Get a proper telemetry transmitter and receiver such as the BBV TX300/DC and RX55X which looks as though it might work with the VISTA VPTDC. (But this would cost me five times as much as the head!) 2) Find some old analogue multiplexer and just use it for the PT(not Z) control functions. If I do find an analogue multiplexer with transmitter how do I deal with the receiver end (and how can I tell which mfg's products will work with the VISTA head??) 3) Get someone to hardwire a controller for me (sorry I can't do it myself). This might be the simplest and cheapest but who should I talk to in the UK. What would you guys do? I'd really appreciate any advice (and sorry if the options I've tried to identify above are rubbish). Paul
