blue iris has anyone used the full version
Blake CCTV replied to Blake CCTV's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
Thanks have you tried vitamin D -
Where are you located eg UK ? If a camera is to see you then you should be able to see it, the only way that I know of hiding a covert camera is behind a 2 way mirror even then you can take the mirror down and check behind it. Cameras can be discreet but most will require wires for power and signals wireless cameras can be harder to find but will only work for as long as the battery will allow probably only a few hours.

Lines rolling on the image & top flickers
Blake CCTV replied to bentech's topic in Video Transmission/Control Devices
You can confirm with a scope if you know what your looking for but your picture does smack of ground loop. If the camera is suitable it's better to use a 24c av psu. A good isolation transformer will work if correctly installed. If you are using an active balun then you will need to use your scope at the DVR end to adjust your lift and gain, ideally this should be done with a pulse and bar generator at the camera end -

Blake CCTV replied to the lemming's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
I have just tried the trial version of vitamin d and o am very impressed, very easy to use. I will consider buying the full version for my customers. Thanks for bringing it to my attention. -
i wouldn't expect that but would be interested to know if anyone has suffered from this, have you had this problem in the past?
-
yes I think you are right about the higher bandwidth as for the heavy machinery if your concern is for the heavy machinery giving you interference then dont worry because they are IP cameras they wont suffer from that kind of inteference.

This sounds like you need to adjust the white balance settings on the camera if you have it try and look in the manual for the settings

Hi firstly your English is very good. I can see the ports that you have opened and forwarded to the DVR but it doesn't seem like you have forwarded the http port although this will be open by default you still need to direct incoming internet connections to the DVR. I hope this makes sense. Regards Richard

If you are the end user and not the installer them please don't pay them until they have sorted this out. They will give the rest of us a bad name.

Just another thought this may be a pain but worth doing remove all of your cameras and connect them to the DVR locally all of your pictures should be fine. -
UTP ground loop issue, suggestions welcome!
Blake CCTV replied to humanparody's topic in Installation Help and Accessories
Sounds like you need some video isolation transformers these are basically an evenly matched transformer that allows the signal to pass without the physical connection thus keeping the earths separate you will need one on each camera that has noise on it. Try them at the DVR end first although sometimes they work better at the camera end. -
Transmit CCTV data over 500 metres to viewing station
Blake CCTV replied to shravank30's topic in Video Transmission/Control Devices
If analogue then the active Baluns are the right way to go. If ip you can install a network to put the cameras on obviously you will need to observe the 100m limits of cat 5 but you can always use fibre optic or a wireless network. -

Camera outdoors without auto iris
Blake CCTV replied to carrier82's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
I have installed about 30 arecont 5 meg cameras outdoors all of them had a manual iris lens fitted and they all work fine most of these were installed about 3 years ago. They look in all different directions but they are fitted at an average height of 3 metres in a housing with a sunshield and angled downwards. -

I am installing a new 4 camera cctv system that needs to be monitored remotley by an approved ARC, I was going to use a Geovision system but now may use an Adpro as i believe there are more arc's out there that support this type of system. My customers main concern is that in the unlikley event that the broadband connection failed how would the ARC know, do they ping the IP etc. Thanks in advance Richard

Arecont cameras on an Onssi system
Blake CCTV replied to bingram's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
I have many Geovision systems using Arecont AV5100DN, AV5110DN and AV5105DN cameras using Geovision software from 8.3.1 up to 8.5 All of these cameras randomly disconnect the different systems range from multi camera systems to single camera systems. It only came to our attention that they were disconnecting after we enabled Vital Sign Monitoring to tell us about any camera faults on a new site since then we have revisited all the other sites to find the same problem, one of the sites has a Geovision 5 meg camera which hasn't disconnected at all. Mr Arecont if you are reading this can you help please -
DVR output using CAT5
Blake CCTV replied to third eye security's topic in Video Transmission/Control Devices
Have you tried an isolation transformer between the DVR output and the remote monitor. Remember only use one pair of the cat 5. What is your location? -
Hi Guys I am trying to set up a 365 DVR to be viewed over the internet but don't have a fixed IP, it has a section for DDNS setup but I am not sure what to enter in the sections. I have set up an account with DYNDNS. This is what i would guess they should be if someone could correct me that would be great. Server IP:(don't know) Port: 37777 (The DVR port is 37777) Domain name: xxxxxxdyndns.tv Host name: (don't know) Password: (which one the DVR password,DYNDNS password) This DVR is on a clients site so I need to get this right. Thanks in advance Richard

Blake CCTV posted a topic in Video Transmission/Control Devices
Hi I am trying to find a piece of kit that will send 2 video signals down one twisted pair cable. I know this is possible with coax cable if using the correct equipment but i don't know if anyone has made a device for twisted pair. Thanks in advance Richard
