If you are saying what I think you are saying, and if you are correct, this will change my whole approach to purchasing security cameras. Tell me, are their any resource available (printed) from Sony? Thanks for shaking me up!! (smile)

Thanks! So, if I require a 6mm lens with the 1/4 ccd with (480 lines) the image will be a bit narrower than with the 1/3 ccd (420) line? If this is true then, could I possible drop down about 1mm on the lens to 4mm or 5mm (if available) to get the same view as a 1/3 ccd for the above application? Again, thanks for responding!

What does it mean when the specs (ad) state the term: CS in ralation to the camera lens?

Thanks for the response; now I know. Sometimes I get suspicious of terminology that I do not understand, and wonder if I might be buying something cheap.

Does anyone have any info on the NVR type of night vision cameras. Are they considered good cameras. Model # NVR-NIXT70E. It has varifocal lens.

Are there any such thing as a splitter for the infrared cable so I can extend my remote control to 2 locations in my house. Or, is there a way to control my DVR in any other manner other than a computer and/or the infrared cable, such a wireless?

Can anyone lead me to the right place to obtain a manual for a PASA CPCAM CPD503 Mpeg4 dvr. Assistance would be appreciated
-
Okay, I did see one of those on the staples site. Thanks for all of the assistance. You must sleep and breathe security devices?
-
Man, that will work for me, now I can control my DVR from a television on each floor
-
Thanks, my confusion is that staples actually lists and sells some of the hard drives that are recommended in my owners manual. Yet, I assumed that the make and model might have some unique differences. I have a 80 gig now but want to upgrade to around 200 so I can have at least 2 weeks before overright began on my 4 channel CPCAM 503 DVR

I did look at your links, especially the video. Can you recommend a hard drive for the CPD 503. Currently I have an 80 gig and want to have at least twice that size.

You know, you are a great help!!! Thanks for the information

I need assistance with a PASA CPD503 Mpeg4 dvr. The clock and date setting will not remain current. It continues to go back to the default setting after a few hours each time that I reset it. The unit is working fine other than that.

Thanks, I considered that possibly a battery was causing this. Yet, this is happening very often even though there is not a power outage or I am not unpluging it. Just yesterday I set the time and date and about 5 hours later it was back to default. But possibly the battery you mentioned is the culprit anyway. Is it readily available at any store? Thank you so much!!

I honestly do not know. The time and date just started going back to dafault a couple of months ago. Its as if a power failure happened, but that is not the case as the alarm does not go off. Mystery to me. Thanks for responding and help me if you can.
