hello, my name is scott and i live in new bedford ma. Electrician by trade. also side as maintenance at 11,000 sq ft day care that is family owned. am getting my first shot at upgrading schools old analog system to new pc-based system. i have worked with former electrical co's at installing cameras rigging wiring and software setups, but not much into systems hardware per say, just from picking up things as i go. i have questions to ask but need to know where in forum to go. thanks

i have seen from post from others that only 1 card per system is allowed by geovision. i have seen ads from vendors saying they can put gv's x2 in a system to get >16 cameras. i need 24 cameras for an upgrade from analog to digital system. i would greatly appreciate any correct info on this so i do not invest in equipment from a vendor that sells geovision but does not follow geovisions rules. the schools budget wont go for two separate systems to get 24 cameras. i heard geovision is the best to go with but will i have to settle for some other vendors dvr cards so as to get 24 cameras on same system. any 411 will help. this is my first system i am installing and any help will be accepted...thanks
