Hi there, try changing the usernames of the administrator and the checked boxes on the control center tab in the "password setup- local account edit" and try changing the ports you are using. hope this helps.

good day everyone. i'm using gv1120 on 8.33. the computer/DVR runs 24/7 and unattended. i was wondering if there is a way to protect recorded files from being deleted even on window's safe mode. i tried using GV key lock software but it doesn't run automatically on safe mode.i taught about a password but i need the computer's auto log-in function(like during power failure etc etc). thanks in advance

analog cameras have fixed resolution( or image size) try pointing the camera at places the person will most likely to pass and set the camera for facial recognition. i read somewhere that acceptable facial recognition differs from 40-80 pixels (face size). hope i am right on this

AVTECH 761 /785/787 and SATA hard discs with converters

hi good day to everyone, i have encountered problems on the IDE AVTECH DVRs using SATA hard drives with converters. the AVTECH dvrs are IDE( the older ones) then when i installed a SATA hard drive with a converter they would work for a while then hang-up and display the "NO HDD" word on the screen. is there any remedy to this problem? i wish to re-use the old AVTECH DVR Thanks in advance -
how long does an IR illuminator last,? someone told me that it only last for a certain amount of hours or 2 years
-
we also use normal cell and is working fine.. lasts for 2 years avtech seems to have a knack load of clock battery problems
-
what i did is i used a laptop to access the video web server then played the video of the desired date, then i clicked the log-in record button beside the snap shot on the web menu to record it camera per camera. its long, its complicated but that was my only option when it happend. the date change seems to mess up the storage database in the HDD thats why it doesn't search the file correctly
-
digiguard is a good, dvr it's menu is pretty much the same as the avtech's.
-
ok thanks ..
-
check the player software form the dvr, i think it has convert to AVI function

Recommendations for a dvr h.264 with built-in web server
jonb300 replied to mhenley's topic in Digital Video Recorders
AV tech AVC 790 worked fine for me using the same requirements that you posted. the price is also affordable. for the vga, i bought a standard video to VGA and is working great. for network viewing over the internet, i use the WEB viewer included in the DVR kit or sometimes use the Internet explorer. snap shots and logging record is available with password protect. have used MAC to view it .... scorpion is right i use a router but AV tech has options such as web servers available. i have viewed on cellphone using the internet explorer(i phone) , Nokia MAnager (nokia N73) -
scorpion, can you do a reset using the video server E safely if this happens or is there another way to do it?
-
there are many options for choosing a DVR, finalize what suits the requirements and budget. sample choices are of and not limited to: *DVR stand alone or PC based *MPEG4 or H.264 *option such as DVD writer, Multiple USB ports, Disk expansion array etc.etc. i am sure there is a reputable shop right near you, check out what he has to offer then from there you can narrow down choices
