I wanted to get some comments on what DVR's you guys like. I have used about 4 different DVR's and in my experience they dont seem to be able to give me the options and customizations that I need. I like the specific user privledges that the avermedia nv5000 gives me and I like to customize the web viewer. Does anyone know of a good dedicated DVR that has all the user account options and a customizable web viewer?

I am using a Foxconn motherboard that I got from newegg for about 49 bucks and it has worked great. It has nvidia graphics integrated onto the motherboard and it seems to be enough to run a 4 camera system. Its been running for almost 2 months without one problem.

I know this is late but try a different router. I had a similar issue and it was actually the router that was causing the problem. New router solved it.

I believe the software only allows you to set the number of days and not the space used. Personally I think this is annoying. Like you said, the best way is to create a partition or use a seperate hard drive for the recording.
I have the avermedia nv5000 and I was wondering if it were possible to completely customize the webviewer interface. I would like to integrate it into my website and have a link for each camera on my website. Has anybody done this?
