I have installed a vandal resistant weatherproof varifocal dome camera containing a built-in external zoom and focal adjustment supplied by Max Security. The camera is in a coastal environment (15m to sea shore) on a second story deck. The camera is placed to survey the front of a private property address and identify colour and type of vehicles passing the location. Camera is set to record on motion and is unfortunately recording a lot of sessions of rain that tends to pass (almost) horizontally. Are there any tips or tricks to maximising legitimate activity in the area and minimising the capture of rain and the like in such an exposed environment? Key Features: 4-9mm Varifocal Lens (Zoom) Built-in Lens Separator 1/3" Colour Sony CCD Chipset External Zoom & Focal Adjustment (Key Included) 420 TV Lines 36 Infrared LEDs IP Rating IP66

da_c posted a topic in Installation Help and Accessories
Latest supplied version of Video Server E loaded to PC. Connected direct to DVR via LAN cable. IP addresses set. Multiple login attempts failed! I have loaded the software ontp various machines (XP and Vista) and have the same result. Could the software be faulty, corrupt? Login attempt as admin, password as admin. -

Thank you for the quick responses. I am not sure about the re-set procedure for the DVR as the DVR itself is fully operational and I have control of the password. A CD with Video Server E was supplied with the DVR, also has Video Viewer 0075, and DVR viewer on disk but the notes below suggest Video Server E is the option to install. *NOTE* 1. "Video server E" Software AP apply to models 760,761,782,785,787,776W,777W etc. 2. "VideoViewer0075" Software AP apply to models 766,604,608,616,0412,0824,1648 and last model:760 etc. 3. "Dvr Viewer" Software AP only apply to model:771A "Pls. kindly note above informations" -

Thanks for that. I can confirm that I have tried and retried all of your advice and that port, IP, settings are correct. I can connect using IP address of the DVR and web browser. Video Server E STILL fails to let me login. Version 1.0.5.6 vith AVTECH 761 DVR -
I have a pre-installed Crow alarm panel that I require connected to AVTECH 761 DVR so as the DVR will record when the alarm panel is triggered. Instructions in the DVR manual are vague...can any one please assist with advice? DVR manual reads as follows: To connect the wire from ALARM INPUT ( PIN 3 --6 ) to GND ( PIN 9 ) connector, DVR will start recording and the buzzer will be on. When “MENU -> CAMERA -> ALARMâ€

Thanks for that. The alarm output is 12V on activation. I am assuming (an and not happy having to make the assumption) That I can trigger all cameras by connection to the DSUB block provided with the DVR. However, it does not quite read true to me...
