If you are viewing the feed on your local router connection or direct connection to your computer you wont need to port forward. If you want remote access then you will need to open the port www.portforward.com has instructions. the RTSP feed for the AVN series is : rtsp://:@/live/h264 also try rtsp://IP:port/live/MJPEG htp://IP:Port/cgi-bin/guest/Video.cgi?media=MJPEG

I have a IDE model AVC761, the problem has been ongoing for a while now even after changing drives. The problem is that when the hard drive reaches 0gb it wont automatically reset to the correct size it will reset to around 7gb or 8gb and stay around that size untill I go into the settings and "Clear HDD" I used a standar seagate drive when it first started to happen then switched to a seagate SV series AV drive. a hardware reset hasnt cured the problem.

I have a camera installed in my garden using cat5 and a balun, 1 pair for the balun and 1 pair for the power. I now want to install another camera further down the garden using cat5, would I be able to twist 2 pairs at the junction box and fit a balun at the camera end? or would I need to fit a balun at both ends and use a male coupler to connect the 2 cat5 cables/baluns?

I tried to get eagleeyes on my iphone (free version) to connect to my 2 year old AVC761 IDE version but with no luck, I tried changing from port 80, 5550, 2222 with ports forwarded/open on my netgear router with no luck still. Also tried connection via wi-fi and over 3G data. Does this mean my dvr isnt compatable with eagleeys?

Did you select “Generic Brooktree Card with four Composite Inputs” when installing the drivers?

Wondering if you got eagle eys working with your 760? I have the 761 IDE version...will test eagle eyes out in the next couple of days. I read somewhere the port must be set to 2222 and no 80..can anyone confirm this?
