I moved into a house a couple of years ago, it has a QVIS Viper NVR with 2 cameras connected but the previous owners didn't leave us the password. When I connect to monitor, I can see the two live feeds from the camera but can't click anything, all I get is the 'Start Wizard' screen which asks for a username and password. I have tried 1234, 123456, ad^min, and leaving it blank, none of these work so I'm guessing the password was changed. I have taken the unit apart and there is no factory reset button. I have also tried finding the J1, J2 jumpers but can't find these either. Does anybody have any other ideas or can anybody provide me with a reset code? I will try to take a pic of the reset password screen. Thanks in advance!!!

Is there a way to completely unlock a QSee DVR? I was given two QSEE qc9916 DVRs that were being thrown out at work. They are still in good working condition, but they are password locked. I guess its works if you only want live view from your TV. The date/time reset after I removed the battery, but its still password locked. Admin/Admin didn't work. I even tried typing the serial number as a password.

I have about 8 dvr/nvr hikvision that I have gathered over time while I dumpster dive they all work but I need at least one to work fully functional because I really would like to use one with ptz control and other features I have tried the support and email from hikvision but I just don't think iam fully understanding what to do I don't have wifi or internet at this time is that a requirement to reset? Please help I've been trying over or close to a year to just at least get one of these going the proper way it would mean a lot to me thanks in advance as they say. Hi im stuck in a situation where I can gain access to my dvr as I forget my login . But I got to know there is way that I can reset by putting the time . I’m unable to do it . If anyone could help me out please . Hi there This is my first post on this forum, so please be gentle. One of my employees. who was in charge of setting up one of my premises' CCTV system has put a password on the DVR meant for that site, and now he cannot remember the password. I've tried entering passwords like 111111 and 666666 to unlock the DVR, but a error code 81f5fc is returned when the login fails. The DVR is an unbranded unit, from what I can tell, and only has the inscription 'CJC-8308' on the front, and the phrase 'H.264 DIGITAL VIDEO RECORDER'. I have the serial number of the device: S/N : 354201408270168 The date on the DVR is the 01/01/2000 A picture of the DVR is attached to this post I've prowled the forums trying to find a solution, but I can't find anything that works like it's supposed to. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello everyone and excuse me for my bad English ... I am Italian. I purchased the Dahua NVR model: DHI-NVR4108-P-4KS2 I changed the admin password but I lost the file where I saved it ... I tried the procedure with the qr code but even if the email is correct I don't receive the unlock key on the mail ... How can I reset the NVR if I have forgotten my password? I am attaching some info that could be useful: Anyone can help me to generate the temporary Master Password?
