sinbad 0 Posted February 23, 2008 Hi all, If I get an external modem from the list here to try and connect it to a GV system, do I need to pay to a dialup service provider or I just hook it up to extension from the regular house line? I know that for the GSM module i do need to pay, what's with phone alerts? thanks in advance.
Integratek 0 Posted February 23, 2008 you'd only pay for the phone call - since modem connection is analog. however if you are planning to view video over modem connection don't be expectiong anything other than a slide-show.
sinbad 0 Posted February 23, 2008 thanks for the reply. I don't plan to connect the system with the modem, its already connected on a 6mb cable line. I only want to use the modem for alerts.
