electric 0 Posted February 26, 2008 About 18 months ago i set up a avc787 dvr for a custumer recently they had output display problems. After diagnosis it seems odd, but while the sytem boots through its initialization it shows the cameras as they should be split into 16 windows. After the firmware version is displayed and the unit goes into normal mode any or all cameras displayed bleed into the third camera display. If it where a hardware fault i imagine it would not display the image correctly at all. I am wondering whether maybe the firmware has been corrupted. I have searched the web all over including manufacturer site and cannot locate any versions of firmware. Does anyone know where i might find current firmware version? Or whether or not this unit sounds like this is not worth repair?
EagleEye 0 Posted February 26, 2008 I had this same thing happen to me on an avtech dvr a few times. All the channels bled into eatch others. I don't know of any fix for this, i tried to redo the firmware multiple times. Only think i knew what to do was send it back for repairs. I was told it was from heat from my eletricial tech. electric 0 Posted February 26, 2008 Thanks for the reply. Does anyone know of a tech in Australia that is up on repair of these units? I rang the supplier and they put me through to there technician and he said he doesn`t have spare boards to swap out and test. I use to fix electronic equipment as a trade I think my only option is to try a firmware upgrade or reload if it is current. I have looked for the any obvious component faults and changed power supplys nothing stands out. Does anyone know where I can find the firmware to download?
