gexamb 0 Posted February 27, 2008 Can anyone help solve this problem? I am using the EnNet software to view my remote feed to my DVR. I finally got it to work. But it keeps freezing after 15-20 min of play time. How can i make the video stream not freeze without having to refresh it every 15 min? thx

crirvine 0 Posted February 27, 2008 Not sure about your brand dvr. On the remote PC is the screen saver on? Turn off monitor after 15 mins? Turn off harddrives after 15 mins? Have you looked for and updated the remote software to the newest version? Are you using ATI Video card (Card of Choice for most DVR's)? Is this the software that came with the DVR you own? If not use that software as dvr's are software specific. After checking these please list more information. 1. Brand and model DVR. 2. Type PC include motherboard brand and model, Prossor brand and model, video card brand and model, amount of system ram, does this only happen over the internet, local lan or both? gexamb 0 Posted February 28, 2008 all power settings are set to never. no screensaver. a geforce 6200 video card. i had to go one by one trying old nvidia drivers until i got one that actually loaded the program and gave me picture. it is a dell inspiron 8300 system. 1 gig ram. mobo idk. 3.0 ghz cpu. idk what brand. local or external connections are the same result. i do not know the brand model of the DVR. the manual does not give a model no. I am using the software that originally came with the DVR. It is a pain in the *** to install and deal with. as i said b4 it is very sensitive to what video drivers are used. crirvine 0 Posted February 28, 2008 Glad you are have some luck now with the system. As a rule of thumb most not all but most will only work with ATI or INTEL video. Most GeForce video cards and AMD cpu's are not DVR friendley. Just post if more information is needed.

gexamb 0 Posted February 28, 2008 Its working. turned out that our local printer/fax machine was missing the fax line bypasser thing for the dsl line and everytime we had a fax come in the internet shut off. so we figured that was why the dvr was freezing. i fixed it has been running all night no problems. thank you anyway for your suggestions as they are good to know.
