joe_coombes 0 Posted March 2, 2008 Hi, Im looking for a bit of a advise on the Dennard 2050 and 2050-wp domes. Ive managed to get hold of 5 domes for my store. The only problem is the installers ripped them out and by the looks of it threw away the PSU's. Does anyone know if they still avalible to buy and does anyone know approx how much they normally are? If not i know there is a circuit diagram of the PSU in the camera manual and i looks to me like a straight forward trasformer that thats about it. Would does anyone know if its easy to build them or not? Ive also got some static vista cameras with no transformers does anyone know about how to power those. Cheers Joe
kensplace 0 Posted March 2, 2008 I have seen them come up on ebay quite often, at a reasonable price second hand. New, Im not sure if they still carry them, Norbain does not carry the 2050 any more, but perhaps its the same power supply for later domes like the 2060.. Dennard is now owned by dedicated micros, so you can google dedicated micros for their web address for your location, maybe give them a ring to see if they stock what you need. They do appear to be fairly bog standard power supplies, in a ip rated enclosure, I would not build one yourself unless you are qualified to do so, when power supplies are cheap these days. The manual should tell you the volts and amps you need if you want to use a decent third party supply if you cant get hold of the official one. Best bet is ring the manu, or try ebay, I believe there is one on at the moment, and they pop up quite frequently...
CameraGimp 0 Posted March 3, 2008 The Vista cameras should have a power rating on the label. I assume they are low voltage in which case the label should give you the voltage range (12VDC or 24VAC or both) and the wattage.
