kezia932 0 Posted March 9, 2008 my hand book for my dvr it states static ip so will the dvr still work through a Dynamic ip ,till the ip changes ,when i log in using my ip address in the dvr i can use the privet ip to use on all my computers in the house .using the default password in the dvr ,but i have been told that i can't log in from out side the router using this ip.i have been told to use the ip my server give me which is totally different ,but this is the problem i can log in with the Multi-channel disk recording system using it but for some reason the default password i used with the privet ip don't work what is causing this . DazmanUK 0 Posted May 31, 2008 I have a Zeus 400, I have the exact same issues. I can connect via my home LAN and view the cameras without issue, however attempting to connect via the internet at my parents house it will not work. I have tried using my home internet IP address gained by the shields up website, yet no joy when using that IP from my parents house. Maybe the Zeus will only work via LAN? Hopefully you experts on this forum can help us out please?
