TIA Do you want a wide angle and what about the lighting? ADS7700 I have and it's a nice camera. Image Sensor SONY 1/3“ Super HAD CCD Resolution 560 TV lines Minimum Illumination 0.3 LUX @ F2. Lens Furnished 2.9mm Power Supply DC 12V Power Consumption 140 mA Total Pixels NTSC:410,000 / PAL: 470,000 S/N Ratio More than 50 dB Auto Gain Control YES Backlight Compensation Automatic Video Output 1 Vp-p / 75 Ohms. The 2.9mm lens will give you a good wide picture so that is what I would recommend. The other camera on the end of the house/walkway do you plan on swapping out that camera as well? http://tinyurl.com/38xdnw is the 7400/7500 model and those are IR domes with a good picture. Either of which I would recommend for under that doorway. Goodluck with the house construction by the way, John
Smit9352 0 Posted March 18, 2008 How about this 480 TVL dome camera? We just got it last month, works well so far 1/3" Sony CCD, 510 x 492 of the Effective pixels, 480 TV Lines f3.6mm Lens, 0 Lux ( IR LED ON), More than 50dB of the Signal to Noise Ratio Weatherproof Aluminum Housing, Black or Aluminum silver Color DSP, NTSC Standard, Automatic CDS sensor 1/50~1/20,000 sec of the Electronic Iris, Free 12 v 500mA Regulated Power Supply, Internal Sync System, 1Vp-p, 75 ohm of the Video Output That sounds good also, I was trying to go with a Non-IR type camera for the application because I was under the assumption that he was going to use porch lighting to aid the camera in low light situations. I tried going to your link but it didn't work for me? Do you happen to have any pics of the cam? Thanks, John
