rory 0 Posted March 23, 2008 Yep .. its the rock bottom of DVRs .. good for the price but Remote video quality sucks. Anyway, check out the Avermedia 1304 Net. Also, what was your actual disliking with the AvTech?

rory 0 Posted March 23, 2008 Yes the web manager is remote/networked video, Avtech DVRs suck at that as far as quality goes, no idea why (with the browser I can understand as it uses Java), but I told them that before and it has not been updated as yet it seems (havent used one in a while). The actual live quality on a local monitor is not bad, its simple and basic. If using an LCD it will be worse, as with any DVR. But quality on some LCDs will be much better than others, so that makes a big difference also.
eric 0 Posted April 29, 2008 The ALD-410D is sold by Covisec and it comes with 2 year warranty. Because it uses JPEG2000 and H-264, you get the best of both worlds (good image compression and fast network speed). The ALD-410D is made in Korea which in and out of itself tells you that the quality is better than Chinese made DVRs. There is a live demo posted on the Covisec website www.covisec.com
scorpion 0 Posted April 30, 2008 On camera one. What is shining on the wall? Is that IR from the camera? On camera two. Why is it so dark. Lack of IR? On camera four. Why does it looked so washed out? How come there is no image at 20:14, but there is at 20:27? What are you doing? Flipping lights on, and off?
