Tsvetan 0 Posted November 19, 2004 Does anybody knows CCTV system, optimized for low-speed 128K TCP/IP DVB-S/FTDMA satellite connection ?
Thomas 0 Posted November 19, 2004 Given the poor latenacy and speed of that connection, dial up or ISDN would be better choices.
FredB 0 Posted November 19, 2004 VPON Servers or DVR's. Uses H.263 compression. Origionally made to stream over telephone lines. Best I've seen so far. We have a demo on our site. http://www.aegismicro.com/
rory 0 Posted November 21, 2004 Does anybody knows CCTV system, optimized for low-speed 128K TCP/IP DVB-S/FTDMA satellite connection ? Only have used the Kalatel RSM-1600 phone line transmitters for low speed and low cost transmission. Dont know if that is what you are looking for, its Point to Point. ssw 0 Posted June 22, 2010 I don't know if I should still be posting here, since the topics last post was in 2004! but Im facing the same problem, as I am trying to make a central office remotly see their Cameras on different sites. The connection they are using is a VSAT, 128K, and its a pool, so the more sites the more dividing of the 128K connection. Mainly the 128K connection is gonna be used to retrieve sales reports from POS machines. so they are not going to be consuming all their bandwith all the time, neither will the CCTV system, but still I have a feeling its very very low in speed! Any suggestions solutions, I guess from when this thread was opened 2004 someone must have found a good enough solution for this! Thank you
