anybody download past events remotely?

Do any of the budget dvrs have a decent remote console for downloading past events. I bought the averdigi 1304, and boy that thing is slooow.

almost useless. Maybe its the DSl, as the speed is only 580 upload.

Have you heard of the G4-LTA or XLA?? We sell and install these DVR's and remote playback works great. Your right though, We have to tell each of our customers that we can't control the Internet speeds especially DSL. Visit our site ( below ), email us, and we will provide access to our demo LTA. We will send you a unique login for a short period of time. We try to limit this access so as to prevent congestion. Multiple users can access at the same time without interfering with each others DVR requests. You can try it for yourself.

And you have to tell them that even though the ISP printed that the upload speed is 512k, it's NOT guaranteed. That's only "UP TO". If they don't believe, they can call up their ISP to confirm if they can guaranteed the upload speed or not. And also different time of the day got different speed due to traffic load, etc.
