rory 0 Posted November 27, 2004 got some people here started selling the costco stuff as CCTV equipment, anyone used this cheap stuff before, any feedback? http://www.costco.com/Common/Category.aspx?whse=&topnav=&cat=4803&hierPath=79*&Browse=
Napoleonbc 0 Posted November 27, 2004 I haven't dealt with any of the recording devices. I've dealt with the cameras. They are like the stuff you find at home depot. In fact, one particular model is the exact same make. This stuff is like x10 sutff. Amatuer home CCTV equipment. You will always have people selling crap...they make money and then get sued when it fails. I wouldn't recommend it. I doubt the recorders are any better. eganson 0 Posted November 27, 2004 Q-See?? I can't with that resolution! Only 640x224 according to their specs: http://www.q-see.com/qshdvr4.htm Strangely similar to the chinese garbage at teklinkusa.com.... all low recording resolution. With low quality images, all else is irrelevant. What support will there be? Look at costco's 'specs' for their DVR's. Where's the recording resolution?? Costco says 720x480; same product... where's the truth with this stuff? Inferior chinese junk dumped on the markets... http://www.costco.com/Browse/Product.aspx?Prodid=11002870&whse=&topnav=&cat=4803&hierPath=79*4803*
CCTVINSTALLER 0 Posted November 27, 2004 I know they were selling those cheapo swann systems last time i went, seems they've re-branded it as "Q-see". Also not sure about your opinions but that Q-see DVR looks like the argus dvr rebranded?
