compbusters 0 Posted April 15, 2008 Nuvico CV-SD3895N/P-L Vs AccuDome WAD-A1000VIR Looking for a dome camera for the back patio which is 31'X 15'. I would like something sub $300. Any one use these models? Any comments, suggestions? I am looking for a camera that will work well in the day and night. There are 2 lights in the patio (but they are not always on) so at times it's extremely dark. I will be using the GV-2008. I am new to cctv so any advice, etc is welcome and appreciated. Thanks again,
InNorthernWeTrust 0 Posted April 22, 2008 The CVSD3895NL is an extremely popular IR dome for us. While nearly all IR domes have some issue with IR reflection, I rarely get complaints on the performance of this one. I do not have any experience with the Accudome(it's not a line we carry) however have sold a number of similar domes to varied results. While the design of the unit helps reduce IR reflection, these style of domes just seem to be lower quality units. I also know that I get alot of issues with them being weatherproof. Hope this helps! CollinR 0 Posted April 22, 2008 It has issues with gain but for sub $300 it's still good. (ICR functionality stops when you turn off automatic gain control.) As always IR seperate is better then IR on the cam and for you this is most important as your area is so small and so close to the camera.
