si_kungs 0 Posted April 18, 2008 ask the manufacturer for service repair. it is a hardware problem.
ronbo 0 Posted April 18, 2008 as the unit was cheap and is out of warranty that would be the last resort, i take it that its a single simple chip that is used but if i wanted to replace it i would have to speak to the chinnes manufactuer may have to lease how it is for now, also when i short out the jumper the seconds digits change to the number 5 and the @ sign. Does that mean any think? cheers
si_kungs 0 Posted April 21, 2008 yes what you did is to manually move the clock. maybe the crystal oscillator running the clock is not functioning anymore
ronbo 0 Posted April 24, 2008 tryed a few things more, i take its not going to be easy to fix this problem if the chips gone?
si_kungs 0 Posted April 25, 2008 yes you need to look for a local distributor to fix this.
