AVC761, channel changing problems

Recommended Posts

First, excuse my english.

I have an AVC761 with 4 cameras. The first channel is with sound. After installation or new starting it works fine.

Camera 1 on channel 1, with sound

Camera 2 on channel 2

Camera 3 on channel 3

Camera 4 on channel 4

On the live-monitor its always perfect.

I made a back-up over network and after some minutes the cameras and channels are changed:

Camera 1 on channel 2, sound is always on the right place!

Camera 2 on channel 3

Camera 3 on channel 4

Camera 4 on channel 1

On the live-monitor its always perfect.

I hope some one can help me?

Many thanks,

remo-mec

I too have seen this problem. Have you tried defaulting the unit? I haven't bothered, but I would be curious to see if defaulting would help. I don't remember the unit doing it when I first got it. Maybe even power cycling it would help?

I have mine running, but don't use it much other then it is being tested on the bench. I will say the thing just keeps running. Never had a lockup and have always been able to access it remotely. But playback features and video quality are pretty sad.

Many thanks for this answer.

Thats right. After each reset it works fine but after some minutes the channels are changed. Sometimes its possible, that after an ower working the channels are correctly!

I try the hardware reset at 13.30 . It works fine for exactly 30 minutes.

Every hour the systems beginns a new search list. Exactly at this time the channels are in the rong succession.

I hope someone can help me.

You are going to have to take it back from where you bought it under warranty.

This is more than just a simple fix.

Where did you buy it from??

You can get a 2.0.1.1 firmware here:

http://scorpiontheater.com/cpcamtechsupport.aspx

This is a Do It Yourself Information Page. If you are not technical to perform this, then perhaps you may want someone to do it for you in case some issue pops up, and you need to make corrective actions.

I do not forsee anything happening, but some untrained individuals may have difficultly due to inexperience.

I found the solution.

One of the cameras is a wireless camera on 2,4GHz.

If the carrier is lost or any other problem with the camera, the AVC changes the channels.

There is a bug in the software.

I take only cameras by wire.
