My basic hands on opinion of the DVR at first glance, using it overnight:

 

PROs

 

1-Full Featured remote software

2-Remote Playback and Admin

3-Motion Masking (local and remotely)

4-All settings individually selectable per camera

5-Popup, Beep, on motion or other event as well as Email, FTP, etc.

6-Playback locally has time line and thumbnail of video

7-Remote Playback by event, date/time, time line graphic

8-Multiple user accounts

9-Video Loop outs

10-3 internal HDD max., mirroring RAID 1

11-BNC, VGA, & S-Video

12-Separate Webserver

13-Browser & Client software

14-IR Remote Control

15-USB Backup

16-Remote software custom logo

 

 

CONs

 

1-Price (not cheap)

2-Size (its huge)

3-30fps total record in D1 (240 in CIF but that is unusable as usual)

4-Keeps going into sequence mode (maybe i need more time with it)

5-Uses proprietary back up file type (has an exe format but that fails)

6-Remote video is slightly "faint" or off colored

7-Local Live view has some black edges on some cameras

8-Went to "sleep" on me one time, not sure about that yet.

 

Overall, its a nice DVR with a really full featured remote software and administration.

I wish we had more "reviews" of equipment like the one you created!

 

I doubt that I would ever buy one due to the "price range" my customers are willing to spend.

 

I usually end up buying the Nubix 8LT. Not that it is a better DVR, but based on price.
