Robocam 0 Posted December 8, 2004 anyone have any solutions for this. The fan runs continuously and it is very loud. not sure if it is just the blowing air itself or the fan noise. can these be replaced to provide quieter service? I placed the unit in our bedroom because it made sense to have the camera pics there should we wake up at night to the doorbell or other activity and i dont want to move the unit. thanks
rikky 0 Posted December 9, 2004 Hi, If the recorder is placed where there's too little fresh air, the unit gets warmer and fans will be more noisy. More convenient would be to place the unit where sound isn't an issue, and just connect a monitor out via UHF to a TV input in your bedroom, so your getting CCTV images without the noice! rory 0 Posted December 10, 2004 and if you need to control it, then you could get the KTD-405 Keypad also, and run a cat5 from the DVR to the keypad location. Rory
