rzoned 0 Posted May 8, 2008 Hi All I need help, I have a DVD standalone, everything working perfectly except the internet function everytime we try remote viewing my router always got disconnected I can connect to the dvr web page, able to login perfectly fine but when I click monitor to see the camera, it always disc in few second so here is my setup : DVR Standalone - Router Dlink - ADSL DVR Standalone - Router LinkSys - Cable Modem I have try both of this configuration and got the same problem, so I know my DVR Standalone that causing the problem but I don't understand why, as far as I know dvr standalone will not able to reset my router anyone experience this ? VST_Man 1 Posted May 8, 2008 does your internet provider allow video? some kill video feeds now. if you can view lan and not wan, then you may have a possible cable issue. change out the cables on the wan side............check the cable going outdoors to make sure it is not nicked. I've seen video get dropped due to a bad cable, nick in a cable, ect. which caused limited bandwidth. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
PHAND 0 Posted May 9, 2008 My guess is you are not redirecting all the ports required for remote viewing, or you are using the wrong password. You may be able to login using a control port, but the video may go over a different port. This would explain more why it would work on the local network. Check your documentation to be sure you are redirecting the right ports and that you have the router set up properly. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
