vse 0 Posted May 14, 2008 Anybody have experience with StarDot SE line of meggas? Have had good luck with IQPro line... but the 5Mb StarDot's are under a grand. Are they reliable? Would use with ONSSI. Any feedback would be great! thanks
videotiger 0 Posted May 16, 2008 I haven't had a chance to own/try their megapixel cameras, but I am a very happy customer of two of their Express6 video servers. Very solid, extremely reliable performance with a lot of neat features. The software is Linux-based. Customer support is excellent--I get quick answers and a very friendly response to my questions. You can view one of StarDot's cameras which is in use by the USGS, aimed at Mt St. Helens in Washington State. The next three days should be great viewing . They have a conventional NTSC-to-capture camera as well, so you can do a side-by-side comparison.

Even Arecont cameras are not that perfect yet, not talking about some StarDot.
