voloftn 0 Posted May 15, 2008 I am wiring a Preferred Power Products 16 channel power supply to the outlet. Inside the box, there are white and black wires from the transformers that need to be tied to the electrical cord to be plugged up. I am assuming that that the white wire will connect to the wider prong of the cord and the black wire will connect the the small prong. There is also a grounding wire, but I have nothing to ground it to nearby. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
scorpion 0 Posted May 15, 2008 the white wire will connect to the wider prong of the cord and the black wire will connect the the small prong. This is correct. I assume that you have an electrical cord without a ground wire, you could buy an electrical cord with a ground if you wanted it to be grounded. If you have a power cord with a ground then you can attach the green wire to a bolt on the chassis of the box to ground it.
