My router's public IP changes occasionally, so if outside the network, you can't remote view. One solution is an IP monitor on a computer within the network (which I don't have) that checks the IP and emails you or notifies a service that relates the IP to a name when it's changed. Change the remote viewer IP, and it works. I can find these programs for Windows, but not for Mac. Are there any ways to get the new IP from outside the network? Any Mac programs? Which windows programs are good? Static IPs cost too much. Thanks.

what brand of router are you using? check the setup of your router and look for DDNS as said by sir collinR. register on www.dyndns.com and create a host name. then input the information on the DDNS fields.
