muhammadasimkhan 0 Posted May 29, 2008 Its a gas Plant divided in different areas. There are different well heads from which pipe lines are coming to VAs (Valve assembly) then from VA to main plant CPF ,central plant facility. We have 4 well heads 6 Valve stations & one main plant CPF over which we are suppose to fix cameras. For your reference i am attaching a typical Well head (almost all well head & VAs are of same specs) & Main plant CPF layouts along with proposed cmaeras locations There is no existing facility for CCTV system It will be a totally new system. Theme of operation is as under. We are planning to protect all fence area with Fence protection system (Provided by others). In case of any intrusion is detected we will be getting an Output contact for each Zone.Depending upon that out put relevant camera should be moved to some preset position. After that operator can move it to any where. (So we need cameras which can take hard wired alarm inputs) There will be one PC located in main plant & one PC at Guard house.Over these two we want to view & control/record cameras. We have decided overall 2 cameras for each WH /VA & for CPF we are planning 16 cameras Plz see attache proposed layouts . Compatible with anti intrusion system through Digital Inputs. In case of any intrusion is detected camera should be moved to some predefined position We have decided overall 2 cameras for each WH /VA & for CPF we are planning 16 cameras Plz see attache proposed layouts For CPF (central plant facility) cameras should be with preset auto iris 10X (8-80mm) Zoom lenses & for WH/VA it should be 15X (8-120 mm) We will be needing to move cameras to some presets positions in case of some intrusion is detected in relevant Zone (Intrusion detection is a hard wired signal coming to camera) We don't want continuous or periodic patrolling. Only cameras should be moved to some preset position in case of intrusion is detected. We don't want it to Stop automatically & start recording Normally recording will be only in case of intrusion but we also want the facility for the operator to record if he thinks its necessary to record video At WH/VA motion detection may be 2 Hours a day maximum. At main plant it will be much more a s almost all day /night people will be moving Camera specs are as under as minimum ..1/2" more than 437000 pixels. The camera should be capable to deliver at least 470 lines of horizontal resolution and with a minimum scene illumination of 0.025 lux measured at F1.2 All cameras will be Out door.So housing should be IP 65 or higher.Max temp in winter may be 50 Deg C All cameras should be pole mounted.pole height appx 4.5 meters There will not be any local control / monitoring at any WH or VA.All control /Monitoring of WH /VA cameras will be coming to CPF over fiber optic. Plz see appx distance table between WH/VA & CPF. There will be one PC located in main plant & one PC at Guard house.Over these two we want to view & control/record cameras. alanjh1965 0 Posted May 29, 2008 WOW, now there's a nice job for someone ! I think the last sentance says it all ''Any cheap solution can be used'' I suspect whatever you chose your cameras must be intrinsically safe.... These would suit your requirements...... http://www.fvcctv.com/products/documents/MIC1_440_atex_version2.pdf with Gas at $10 a gallon in the UK I am sure you could stretch the budget a little
