rory 0 Posted May 31, 2008 They have low and mid range products .. just depends on which ones you choose. Right now alot of their new cameras use Panasonic CCDs which although seem to be better quality than the older ones which used Sony, they dont work properly on GeoVision DVRs. So I cant say they will also work properly on other PC Based. Once not using PC based though they seem to be fine. They are no Sanyo or Extreme CCTV, but they cost almost 1/4 the price in most cases. Their little cheap color bullet does a decent job for the price, better than others ive used. Their ECL-598HIM would do about 50' of IR and switch from color to BW at night. If its pitch dark and you are mounting it on the 2nd floor though the IR wont do much from way up there. Otherwise it works the same as other "True" Day Night infrared Bullets. scorpion 0 Posted May 31, 2008 Gotta love Eclipse!! It is not if they are low budget, it is how to install them that makes them work! Know the camera, and you can make it look real good. If you do not know your camera then you soon will the hard way good, or bad!! This is the camera that kicked my in the butt a long time ago, and made me a believer in the impossible! http://eclipsecctv.com/ECL-374.html I was in a dark night club testing cameras on a ladder for a dog, and pony show for a customer, and I threw this camera on to make sure it was working before I went to my next dog, and pony show, er I mean appointment. BAM! Picture perfect B/W video in a darkened night club!! Who knew?? Before Eclipse stopped selling them I was installing them left, and right with all of the nightclubs, and bars!!
