Street Light Interference

Recommended Posts

Have installed wired camera and dvr system. all working well until evening. at the precise time when the street light goes from red to yellow the image from one camera goes from normal/infrared to white haze.

next morning as light switches off so image is restored.

Any thoughts as to likelyhood of being the street light, what distance away from same might interference stop, is it light or sound? etc etc

Have you checked that camera and seen if it's possibly the light from the street lamp that is messing with your cameras viewing capability? Try a different angle with the camera and see if the problem is resolved in my opinion.

That's the first thing I'd try.

perhaps it is IR bounce-back from your camera that is causing the haze, not the street lights.

look to see if there is something close by that might reflect the IR back into the camera. This is a common problem.
