secureconcepts 0 Posted June 15, 2008 I have been researching this and can't find a decent solution. What I want: - integrate live streams from geovison into a website. Without loading the active-x stuff. So a small java-applet that would load a play a preset camera (with a preset quality and size ...). - no borders, etc ... just simple box that streams the cam. Kind a like the SimpleVue program but then for a website. (already tried to do it via tfp, but does not work fast enough only a few frame's/sec and buggy ....). This way you could integrate camera's beautifully into customers website's.
sinbad 0 Posted June 15, 2008 I'm looking for exactly the same. please share your finding when you have any promise to do the same.

scorpion 0 Posted June 15, 2008 Cinemar has been around for a while. You can trust them to be around even longer.
secureconcepts 0 Posted June 16, 2008 had a look at the above, dont see anything that I can integrate in a website to get streams from Geovison. I know there are a lots of Ip-cams that have website integration (so does geovison), but I just want to open a window, no controls, no active-x. Huub
vperez 0 Posted June 16, 2008 hello secureconcepts. In this Page there is something but don´t work properly http://www.nvschile.com/demo_on_line.htm I think that Codec is necessary. Many customers ask me about this function for integrate Web Cam and Web page
brankorackovic 0 Posted June 16, 2008 YOu can try web based live view. here is the link http://www.cctvforum.com/viewtopic.php?t=12027
secureconcepts 0 Posted June 16, 2008 The above link (rory's code) looks the most promising. Still active-x and need to see if if will work over WAN. Would be nice if Geovison would build a simple website plugin for a cam-stream. Lot of people would use it I guess. Huub

secureconcepts 0 Posted June 16, 2008 edited rory's code, works fine on a LAN. Just need to find out how to invoke the loading of the active-x component from a website .... Like the Geovison webcam: first time it will ask to load the active-x and activate it. I have a programming background but this stuff is new. Probably just a few lines of code that I can insert. secureconcepts 0 Posted June 16, 2008 ok, works on wan as well (just some setting to get it loaded) only BIG issue is that the activex control is from an unknown publisher so most browsers will block it ! Need an activex from Geovision (and then a small one ....like this one).
secureconcepts 0 Posted June 19, 2008 rory could you build a .cab file to have it automatically loaded in a browser ?
CollinR 0 Posted June 19, 2008 Just use your favorite archiver like 7zip or better yet since it's unsigned just have it be a manual download so the browser won't complain.
vperez 0 Posted June 19, 2008 Ok!!, It´s a good idea that the user can download the Codec directly from the web, with an .ZIP file; but : anybody has this file, with the codec for 8.2 version??
secureconcepts 0 Posted June 19, 2008 i run 8.2 and it works with the files in the .zip file
batboy103 0 Posted June 24, 2008 So where are people on integrating GEO into websites w/o ActiveX... I still get 'ActiveX refresh' errors trying to access the web site from some computers even after installing LiveX.
secureconcepts 0 Posted June 26, 2008 seems that we are stuck with Activex unless Geovision develops something !
