bill eyemax nj 0 Posted June 19, 2008 I am having problems with my router setting up port forwarding. I have found my public IP from a link on a site, and have written it down, and added it to my remote login client location settings, which is at an entirely different location. Right now, I am sitting at my desk which has two different computers. One, my regular computer, and Two, the DVR computer system. From which computer can I access the router login so I can open the ports and direct traffic to the local address of the DVR? In the eyemax program, at the top it says network. I click network, and it shows my server name, IP, and the username I created. Should this information be filled out on my DVR system? Or should it only be filled out on my remote location computer? Anyway, the IP I have typed in it now is the public IP. I have another family member at my other home, with the remote client, and the public IP of my DVR system at home is typed in the IP field. To connect with my router, I have tried typing both the local IP and public IP in my web browser, and each time it says login information is required or comes up blank. I've tried many user names and password, and even the default admin / password, but I haven't managed to connect through. I've read the eyemax manual but I am confused and frustrated. I really need a step by step instruction anything will help! Thanks for your cooperation Bill
scorpion 0 Posted June 21, 2008 In the DVR Settings under the Network tab, Change the Web Server Port to 9090 and then port forward ports 9090 to 9102, place check in the web login required box. Add at least 1 user with a password other than the one's that came default. First make sure enabled all activeX controls on your PC. Then login to the DVR locally using Internet explorer not the client software, you must use http://. eg:-http://192.168.1.100:9090. That's it as long as you forward the ports on the router you should be good to go. If this does not help, then perhaps you can find something here: http://scorpiontheater.com/links.aspx http://scorpiontheater.com/troubleshooting.aspx
