aquanuke 0 Posted June 26, 2008 Hi Ive got a PTZ camera trying to connect with Geo GV800 and I have a com port adaptor. First thing, theres 4 wires on the ptz red black orange yellow. The black and red go to the power supply that leaves me two orange and yellow which Ive put into the com adaptor. Is that correct as the com adaptor has 4 terminals? Just two into the PC? Now is there an easy way to tell which com port on my PC im using? Does the GV800 only support Protocol D ? Protocol P seems to have settings for a higher baud rate 9600 where as Protocol D only gives me 2400 settings Thanks!
aquanuke 0 Posted June 27, 2008 Im wondering if Ive done this wrong.. I bought this adapter. Will it work, or do I need a Geo GV-net card. If I need a gv-net card wheres a good place to get one cheap.
aquanuke 0 Posted June 27, 2008 Not to worry, all working now Although I set the address port to 1, only worked when I selected port 0 in the Geovision software.
