chronometre 0 Posted July 13, 2008 wondering if anyone has gotten a geovision viewer up and running with teh new iphone 3g speeds. i found this company called mobiscope that can install on iphone, there is a shortlist of supported dvr systems on their website... but geovision is not one of them. however, if a more knowledgable member could review the supported systems to determine if anyone of those systems share the same authenticatin protocols as the geovision dvr systems, then maybe the viewer would work on iphone as an alternative. here is the short list that i compiled from their website (sorry it's jumbled but i couldnt post the website without getting flagged for spam) Airlink101 * AIC250 * AIC250 Network Camera A-Linking * AL9603 * AL9643 * AL9663 Allnet * 2240 AVerMedia * NC100 IP Camera Aviosys * B * B-RS * IP Kamera * IP kamera 9000 * IP Kamera 9060 * IP server 9100A+ * RK Axis * 2400/2400+ * 240Q * 241Q * 241QA * Axis * Camera * PTZ Camera Bosch * NWC-0455-10P Canon * Network Camera Convovision * v600 Creative * britecam * live wireless DigiLan * TV7204 D-Link * DCS-1000 * DCS-2000 * DCS-2100 * DCS-2100+ * DCS-3220 * DCS-5220 * DCS-5300 * DCS-6621 * DCS-900 * DCS-900W * DCS-950G * Internet Camera Elmo * PTC-200 Series * PTC-400 Series Eltis * ET-1001 IP Camera FlexWatch * Network Camera Gadspot * gs 9684 * NC1600 IP Camera Genius * ipcam secure 300 Grand * IP Camera II GRANDTEC * IP Camera Hawking * NC200 * NC220W * NC300 * NC9684 Hunt * LAN Camera I-catcher * icc * ics * icv ICV * Video server INTELLINET * 550710 Iqeye * 300 * 501 * 600 JVC * Network Camera Kingwave * kw3715 * kw3716 KW * 3730 dual mode network camera * KW3701 * KW3702 * KW3715 * KW3716 * KW3720 Lenovo * 1001 IP Camera LevelOne * FCS-1010 * wcs-2060 Levo * ET-1001 IP Camera LINDY * IP NetCam Link * Server CAS 200/200W Linksys * WVC54GCA MOBI * Internet Camera Mobil * internet camera * mobicam MOBOTIX * Network Camera NC * 1000-L10 * 800 IP Camera * W10 ORITE * IP-Cam Panasonic * 331 * 371 * 381 * bb-hcm 311 * BL-C10A * BL-C30A * ddn-cam1 * network camera * WV * WV-NM100 * WV-NP240 * WV-NP244 * WV-NP472 Pheenet * 210ir * 310pt Pixord * Video Server Planet * ICA-100 * ICA-100PE * ICA-100W * ICA-110 * ICA-300 * ICA-500 * IVS-100 Sitecom * ln-400 or ln-401 SOHO * Internet Camera Solwise * SEC-MJCAS-210IR Sony * Network Camera * SNC-c10 * SNC-c11 * SNC-df40 * SNC-M1 * SNC-M3 * SNC-P5 * SNC-rz20n * SNC-rz25n * SNC-rz30n Stardot * Express 6 Server * Netcam Sweex * IP Network Camera Toshiba * IK-WB01A * IK-WB02A * IK-WB11A * IK-WB15A * IK-WB21a * IK-WR01A * Network camera Trendnet * TV-IP10 * TV-IP100 Trust * Nw-7100 * Surveillance Camera VCenter * NC 1000 VCS * VIP 10 Vivotek * 3000 series * Video Server Wlan * Robotcam camera Xannet * XIPCAM-1001 IP Camera
rory 0 Posted July 15, 2008 Isn't the Iphone essentially just a basic Mac OS? I imagine any Java based browser app should work. As to 3G speeds, never used 3G so cant comment.
destro_23 0 Posted July 23, 2008 iPhone = no axtiveX based viewing ... so this kinda eliminates a lot of boards. but i could be wrong.. Any board that has a java based viewer like rory said might/could be able to.
cctv_down_under 0 Posted July 28, 2008 Use your browser on the I Phone, but choose JPEG as the compression, that should work

chronometre 0 Posted August 11, 2008 has anyone had any luck with viewing geovision board on an iphone? i for one have tried, and have been unable to view cameras even with the jpeg compression selected.... i also spoke with techs from geovision - seems that they have no plans to cover teh iphone in the immeidate future - infact they are working on the blackberry first... secureconcepts 0 Posted August 12, 2008 jpeg compression does work, tested on 2 iphones. Just a broweser no problems. Geovison was on 8.
olafak 0 Posted August 12, 2008 I have seen the browser interface work on two iphones as well, it’s just a little boring when you are used to G View. Good enough to confirm the garage door is closed after leaving the house though.

RichTJ99 0 Posted January 11, 2009 Stealthvue, Im a little confused as to what the app does. I have a windows mobile Treo & I just use the Gview application. Does this allow a working method for the webpage java view on a mobile device? Pocket IE also hangs at that page. How can I tell what version of the webserver software I am using? THanks, Rich
stealthvue 0 Posted January 12, 2009 Rich - The app simply lets you access the "Phone" mode of the geovision system. In those cases where you can't or don't want to install the Gview app on a windows mobile system. This also allows you to access Phone mode from Iphones and treo's that are running PalmOS. BTW: just added the patched webcamserver for version 8.0.1. It is available here: http://www.stealthvue.com/geovision_iphone.html Let me know how this works out for you. shentim 0 Posted June 4, 2009 Hi Everyone, GeoVision is still developing the iPhone application. I have the beta version installed on my iPhone and I can view the cameras at our US branch's location (video, not picture by picture). The screen will rotate the camera if you tilt your iPhone, and you can also slide your finger to scroll through different cameras and also move your PTZ cameras in that fashion as well. We are looking to release it in hopefully 1-2 months - thanks for your patience! -- Tim Shen / Account Executive USA Vision Systems, Inc.
