aleicgrant 0 Posted July 23, 2008 Hey all Manage to find this site after DAYS of searching google for help. So I have a 5 year old, two story house and we are looking to add a cctv security system. I have had two installers out for quotes and the one part they cant seem to answer is how to distribute video to my tv's. Now because of the design of the house, wire drops are virtually IMPPOSSIBLE due to limited attic space. I currently have directv and using the existing coax. Would this be an option to tap into the existing wiring to distribute the video. I should also mention that I am using a single wire multiswitch to alllow the directv dvrs to record more than one show. logic suggests perhaps I could diplex off that with a programmable modulator perhaps via a splitter??? As I pulled in to the parking lot I called you on the cell to find you, and you said that you were in a van wearing an orange shirt. I did not know you were coming out of a Sherrif's Van with an Orange Jump suit, handcuffs, and leg irons!!! I did not know that the Sherrif's dept had such large shotguns!!
