cctvpro2008 0 Posted July 25, 2008 Arecont's website is pretty lacking in documentation, can't even access a user guide for their AV5100M camera without a login, and they don't seem to have a registration form... Anyone tell me the default IP address on the AV5100M? It does not seem to be taking DHCP.... Also, anyone know the default userid and pw? Thanks Cory

Kiwi 0 Posted July 26, 2008 You need to use the utility supplied on the CD to set the IP. After that you can do most things from the commnd line. Support is supposed to be supplied by whomever you purchased it from. There is another thread on that subject somewhere. The user guide can be found with a bit of google searching - it's generic. epicstruggle 0 Posted August 12, 2008 YEs it will find all Arecont cameras I know of, even the OEM versions too. It finds the camera. Gives me the mac address and IP address but it isnt able to access it. Is there an easy (idiot proof) nvr client that I can try? Thanks mate.

Gives me the mac address and IP address but it isnt able to access it. Ok, I figured it out. It turns out that my MS firewall was blocking the AV Installer from getting access to the camera. Once the I added the program to the allow list it successfully accessed the camera. It also gave me a different IP address. Is there an easy (idiot proof) nvr client that I can try? Thanks mate. Using this new/correct IP address I got CyeWeb cms to connect to the camera. Im now trying to figure out why LuxRiot cant connect to it or one of the other CMS/NVRs to connect. Other than the IP address am I missing something? Thanks.
