have you tried the different AV inputs? Like Video 1, video 2, etc, On the TV it should have that, also on the remote. Some TVs will say AV, some will say Video. If you have more than one Yellow (video) input on the TV, try another and go through them. Sometimes they have them on the back, side, and front.

Another thing, is the camera wireless or hardwired? Sounds like you have a wireless receiver? You might want to plug the camera direct into the TV's video input first, if it is a hard wired camera. Otherwise you need to make sure both the camera and receiver are on the same channel, if it is wireless and has multiple channels like a 4 channel reciever. Also, if it is wireless, you can try powering down the camera first and powering back up, then powering down the reciever and powering back up, and see if it comes through then. Also ... if it is wireless, it could be something blocking the signal.

If you know the model of the camera kit, and TV, give us the name or link to a website. Also distance from Receiver to camera.

Hi Fiona

Sounds like you've got it in the right jack (yellow is video) but you are trying to tune it into a TV channel (iv been thru vhf1 vhf3 uhf trying to tune it in, receiver has a tunning knob on top im turning it whilst scanning trying to tune it into tv but i just cant do it,, do i need a monitor or diff tv?)

You need to use the remote control to change your "video input" setting to allow the picture to taken from the phono input. This might be on the remote as AV, Imput Select, or maybe go to channel 1 & press the channel down button.

When you have the AV input you will see a blue screen instead of a snowy one.

If it is a modern TV you may have maybe 3 x AV inputs each time you press the remote you will see the AV number on the screen. When you get the correct one you will see the picture.

Hope this helps.

Anyhow, Fiona, it sounds that you are pluggin everything correctly, so it could very well be a bad unit that you got. did you purchase the camera localy, or internet?

ok, when i try to find my av channel i dont see the blue screen, only snow, on menu in remote i found av-2 output , i can change this to av-1 or tv. Should i set channel 0 on av-1 and try to tune it that way?

i have noticed on the tv when searching/ tuning that the frequency goes up to 899 on UHF but i cant seem to get 900 !! and thats what range the manual says it opperates on..

scan frequency is 50hz frequency range is 900mhz to 1200mhz should i be tuning my tv to 50 or 900? bearing in mind tv doesnt say next to the number if its frequency range or scan frequency... arghhhhhh help me!!!!!!!!! im goin mad

The cam and reciever were bought over internet, guarantee says units were checked b4 shipping.

My tv is a carppy make well rarley heard of its a lodos 28inch www.lodos.co.uk

is is just a case of my tv not being able to tune to correct frequency for cam?

i have a link to an identical unit i bough http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3862113803&ssPageName=ADME:B:RECO:UK:2
