qasim 0 Posted August 2, 2008 Hi guys, Since installing my CCTV, I require a wider viewing angle. At the moment I have two dome cameras with 3.6mm board lens: http://www.cricklewoodelectronics.com/Cricklewood/product.php?productid=19979&cat=395&page=1 As i need a wider viewing angle ive seen these lens on ebay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=130242359461&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=003 I was wondering if these lens from ebay will work, and if they are easy to change. I dont want to buy new cameras so I thought this would be a cheaper option. Your help is much appreicated. Thanks.
survtech 0 Posted August 3, 2008 There are at least 2 different lens sizes for board cameras, M12 x 0.5 and M9 x 0.5. Make certain you get the right size for yours. You can also check Marshall Electronics for board camera lenses. They have a wide range of focal lengths: http://www.mars-cam.com/optical.html

cctv_down_under 0 Posted August 7, 2008 There are indeed two sizes...but dangerously differing thread lengths...IE you keep turning the thread until it is in focus, but long shafted threads can easly be turned to far and scratch the CCD..so be carefull and measure how far you are threading
