ACTi ACM 4200 cube cameras crashing my network

Hi Folks,

I am installing a 4 ACTI ACM 4200 system. Everything was going well until I added the second camera to the network which totally crashed it. This site has a POS system with 3 computers upstairs where the cameras are which connects to a 10/100 switch which is connected to a Gigabit switch downstairs where 3 computers are connected as well as the POS server.

I was planning on getting a gigabit switch for upstairs where the cameras and the 3 computers are so the 3 computer can take advantage of the gigabit speed.

Any suggestions is fully appreciated.

run 2 vlans

 

vlan 1 cameras

vlan pos

 

this will separate the streams and good for security.

 

you could also run QOS
