secureconcepts 0 Posted August 31, 2008 Vista and 8.2: I changed the default ports on the DVR for Control Center (3389, 5613, 5553). Control center and remote desktop both fail to start ! (only viewlog runs). Even after full system restart. Need to this so I can control multiple DVR's behind 1 WAN-IP. Any idea's ?
kensplace 0 Posted August 31, 2008 Did you change the ports in control center also? (edit button, configure, choose system configure and then network. Or can you not get into it at all? If going through a router or firewall you need to alter the port forwarding to use the new ports also.
dcam 0 Posted August 31, 2008 XP and 8.12 +8.2 I have had the same problem for months now , had given up, thinking it was something stupid that I was missing, but now I see I'm not the only one. Everything works fine using multiview over IE. browser
dcam 0 Posted August 31, 2008 Be careful with 3388, you would be inclined to change it to 3389 , but that is remote desktop !!!
secureconcepts 0 Posted September 1, 2008 oeps did not notice the 3389=remote desktop ! (will try a different one). Kensplace: if I change the numbers on the DVR the service will not even start (I know I have to change it in CC as well). dcam: what port numbers did you change: all 3 ? and do you remember witch value's you used. It look like a bug because the service should start even with port conflicts !
secureconcepts 0 Posted September 1, 2008 just tested a few combinations on my test system: Command: 3390 data: 5614 log: 5553 Services do start ! if I use 5613 for data: services fail to start. Will test at customer site as well and see if I can connect.
secureconcepts 0 Posted September 1, 2008 above did solve it, according to Geovison the service would not lauch if the port is already in use .....
