cherminator 0 Posted September 8, 2008 Hello all, I'm finding researching camera systems to be confusing at best. There are so many systems out there that I am now lost and need some expert help. I'm looking for the best outdoor camera I can find for up to $5000. or so. Here are the specs I would like: - ability to zoom as far as possible (control remotely) - pan and tilt (control remotely) - ultra low light or infrared would be even better - temperature range from -25F to +110F or so - probably dome housing or something that make it as unnoticeable as possible - I don't have to be able to see the video over the Internet. I look forward to your responses!

ozchevy 0 Posted September 11, 2008 Hi there, I recently tried selling a Sony super HAD Camera on ebay, without any takers. This is a dome camera and sounds something like what your after. It retailed here in Australia for $2100,00 when new - which was about 5 yrs ago. It's in still like new condition - The model is GHSD-7425D If you google this model number the specs can be found on a PDF file. I would post a link for you, but because I'm new to the forum, with only a couple of posts to my name, I'm unable to do this.
Deluxecctv.com 0 Posted September 18, 2008 At that price, you may be able to pick a FLIR PTZ up. That would be your best bang for your buck and no doubt reach your budget.
rory 0 Posted September 18, 2008 No such thing as the "best" camera, but take a look at Extreme CCTV or as mentioned Flir.
