BJW_RCDD 0 Posted September 20, 2008 Greetings! This is my first post. I am designing a system for an end user/customer and a question came up about the monitor output on a 16 channel Dedicated Micros DS2. Will the multi-view output button (the 3 x 3 button on the front of the unit) display all 16 channels to the monitor? The manual on DM's website doesn't really say and the online training video made it sound like 3 x 3 (9 channels max) was the most you can view at one time. Anybody know for sure? scorpion 0 Posted September 20, 2008 I am not a DS2 expert. I do have one client that has one that I provide service for. It provides all 16 channel live, and over the internet. Note: This is an older machine of several years. Here is a cut and paste from the online manual MONITOR VIEWING • Main monitor (S-Video & Composite): • Full screen, programmable sequence & alarm switching. • Programmable multi-screens: picture-in-picture, quad, 5+1, 4+3, 9 way, 8+2, 12+1,16 way x2 electronic zoom, freeze frame. • Spot monitor: (Composite) • Full screen, programmable sequence & alarm switching When I read the online manual I read what you are stating. Interesting!
alanjh1965 0 Posted September 22, 2008 With the new DS2 the Main monitor output can be configured as follows... Full Screen Picture in Picture Quad Multiscreen - which you can toggle between 9 Way, 8+2 Way, (half the screen has two large pictures the top half has eight), 12+1 Way and 16 way When using any of the Quad or Multiscreen displays you can select which camera fills each 'box' so it doesn't have to be in numerical order. You can also program activity display so for example if you have 16 cameras on the display or even 1 picture and some one triggers the activity on another camera it will bring that camera up full screen for 5 seconds you can also have it make an audible warning - quite useful for the security guard taking a nap Hope this helps ! RickA 0 Posted September 22, 2008 Just tested one with our LCD monitor and I remember that it did show all 16 camera positions, plus the variations that Scorpion described. Hope this helps.
