msikorsk 0 Posted September 23, 2008 I have an AVC 760 (firmware 2.0.2.0) and I’m trying to read over IP single picture from it. I can’t use java (*jar) application on the client side. Does anybody know how to do that? Best Regards Marcin
scorpion 0 Posted September 23, 2008 can you play the regular video, and at the right moment press pause, and just do a screen shot of your computer?
msikorsk 0 Posted September 23, 2008 What do you mean by video? How can I get the video without java? I can't use the computer. I need to get the frame/picture from DVR on simple request. I've been trying to simulate the login session and get the data with session ID but I'm receiving something strange... Marcin
scorpion 0 Posted September 24, 2008 (edited) I am really lost at what you are describing. Are you using a MAC therefore you cannot use Video Server E? Can you use these solutions? http://scorpiontheater.com/javaapp.aspx Can you use the the Java ap if you have a MAC? Can you use the JAR if you have a Solaris, or a Linux? _____________________________________________________________ I've been trying to simulate the login session and get the data with session ID but I'm receiving something strange... I do not know what you mean by simulate??? Please describe the equipment, and the procedure to simulate the log in session. If you are not using a computer, then you are not using Video Server E, if you are not using Video Server E, then what are you doing? Can you take a VCR, and connect it to the Video out of the DVR, and then put that video on to a software on a computer that people use to edit their video cam corder movies, and then grab a snap shot?? I assume that you are aware that you cannot plug the Hard Drive from the DVR into a computer directly as the video is encoded with a proprietary software? _____________________________________________________________ If you are not using a computer then how are you hooked up over IP? Thanks for steering me in the right direction. Edited January 3, 2009 by Guest
msikorsk 0 Posted September 24, 2008 I have a Home Server (HS) controlling home. I need to integrate it with AVC 760 and grab camera pictures from it. HS can’t run java but it can run simple scripts. I need to grab pictures on the HS events (like door open, light switch, door bell). I have another Linux based server so it can “tunnel†
scorpion 0 Posted September 24, 2008 I wonder if you can take the output of the AVC 760 and hook it up to a webserver that would suite your server?
msikorsk 0 Posted September 24, 2008 That's what I'm trying to do now. It looks that simple scripting won't be enough... I hope there is a way to get single frame Does anybody know how frame save works in VideoServer E? Marcin

Does anybody know how to do that? Yeah. snavtclient -H your.dvr.ip.address -u user -p pass -q 0 -j /tmp/snapshot.jpg I can not tell you where to find it though due to this board's odd anti-spam policy. One of the previous posters links has a link.
