jsingh 0 Posted October 25, 2008 I recently installed a 8 cam system with GV-1120 card. I am using flat panel LCD monitor with DVI connector. The cameras are 480 tvl color dome. The picture quality is not impressive. Could anybody please explain how to select the resolution from the beginning i.e. installation of Geovision software. I think I made a wrong selection of the resolution while installing. I selected the one that was recommended. I did not select 800*600. If I have to change the resolution, how should I do it now ? jsingh 0 Posted October 29, 2008 Thanks for your response. The software is Geo 8.2 and the operating system is Windows XP pro. I would like to know which resolution should we opt for 1. when installing Geo 8.2 software. 2. Panel resolution in configuration settings after installing the software. 3. My Monitor is LG 20 " Wide screen LCD with DVI connector, and what should be the Screen resolution for Windows. As the cameras are analog and 480 Tvl, I think if the output resolution is too high the picture might be poor and too pixlated. This is my opinion and I am not expert on it. That is why I would greatly appreciate any expert advice on settings. Thank you. Jay
Snake 0 Posted November 3, 2008 I think the easiest thing you can do is to set the Geovision control panel resolution to the native resolution of your monitor. Should be something like 1440X900 or maybe a little more as its a 20".
synci 0 Posted November 3, 2008 Your native Desktop Resolution should be 1680x1050. And this must be set in GV 8.20 too. You can change resolution of GV manualy in System Settings (F9).
